Calculation of welding modes is an application designed to automate the work of a technologist when designing a welding technology and supports work in the integration mode with CAD TP VERTICAL.

The main tasks that the application automates:
- selection of welding modes depending on certain conditions for making a welded joint;
- selection of welding consumables taking into account the conditions for making a welded joint, a certain range of welding consumables used at the enterprise, as well as the calculation of their consumption rates;
- calculation of the main time for the implementation of the main welding transition;
- transfer of information about the performed calculation to CAD TP documents for the purpose of automated generation of technological documents describing the welding technology.

Administrative features of the application:
- adjustment and addition of the existing database of welded joints used in the design of TS at the enterprise;
- setting up and supplementing the existing database of welding operations (welding methods), modes calculations for which can be automated using the application;
- adjustment and addition of calculation algorithms;
- setting and supplementing the existing base of modes for making welded joints, depending on the welding operation used (welding method);
- management of mechanisms for integration with CAD TP VERTICAL in terms of transferring calculation results to CAD TP;
- management of integration mechanisms with POLYNOM:MDM in terms of obtaining master data.
Types of connection descriptions, for which mode calculations are automated by the application:
- single-layer, incl. with complex configurations of the location of the elements of the welded joint;
- multilayer, incl. with complex configurations of the location of the elements of the layers of the welded joint.

The result of the application for the user is the generated welding TP, with calculated lines of modes, time standards and consumption of welding materials.
