Stiffness maximization is the most popular and fastest method for solving the optimization problem, however, it does not take into account the strength properties of the structure, it is available for all types of finite elements in APM. In the 16th version, it is possible to solve this problem using two algorithms – the “optimal criterion” method and using a more advanced non-linear optimization module. In the second option, it is possible to take into account body forces and technological limitations.
