Applications Checking documents by QR code

Expansion module for Pilot-ICE – Checking documents by QR code

The application is designed to check the status of a document in the Pilot database (Pilot-ICE, Pilot-ICE Enterprise, Pilot-BIM, Pilot-ECM) when any device reads the QR code placed on the document.

Module "Checking documents by QR code"

The module is a specialized web service that provides data acquisition from the Pilot system via a mobile device.

The solution is a full-fledged software product with a single installation package for both the server part (web service) and the plugin for generating QR codes.

As a result of the application, Pilot product documents contain an automatically generated QR code, which encodes information about the unique document identifier and its version.

Now the user has access to a convenient advanced service for managing a QR code:

  • the ability to overlay a QR code on all pages of a multipage document;
  • overlaying a QR code from a certain page and then on all;
  • commands to update the QR code on all documents in the specified folder with documents or all project documents;
  • removal of the QR code from all pages of the document;
  • saving the manually specified location of the QR code on the pages of the document when creating a new version of the document or updating the code(s).

As a result of reading the QR code, the web service receives and processes requests from mobile devices from the global network and transmits to the user information about the status of the document in the corporate system based on Pilot-ICE.

The user in real time receives all the necessary information about the status of the document, its attributes and other information.

The module allows you to provide a variety of document verification scenarios in the mobile application:

  • verification at the construction site of the existing paper document (for example, a drawing) for relevance and compliance with the latest approved electronic original in the corporate system;
  • verification of a paper copy of the documentation submitted by the design work contractor for compliance with the agreed electronic versions;
  • for contracts or important outgoing correspondence – the ability to obtain additional confirmation that the paper copy of the document in hand has passed all the necessary validation procedures in the counterparty’s corporate system and is an agreed, approved version.
