KOMPAS-Expert
An application for finding and correcting errors in KOMPAS-3D documents.

KOMPAS-Expert checks models, drawings and specifications prepared in KOMPAS-3D, giving the designer the opportunity to correct them before the documentation goes into production.

After launching the application, you need to select documents for verification. The result of the check is a list of errors divided into groups and ranked by significance. The user can specify an error in the list, and the application will automatically open the verified document in KOMPAS. The red frame will highlight the place or object where this error was detected. Having agreed with the assessment of KOMPAS-Expert, you can immediately correct it.

In total, the application implements more than 200 checks, which can be divided into three main groups:

• ESKD design standards: distance between dimension lines, text placement, presence of intersections at the dimension line, line styles and serifs, etc.;
• technological limitations of the enterprise: permitted values ​​of roughness, quality, threads, position and shape of holes;
• rules for working in KOMPAS-3D: manual input of dimensions, linking the item designation to the specification, using the axial object, not the line with the axial style, etc.

Any test can be customized by selecting criteria for correctness and significance for it. Groups of tests can be combined into sets to check different types of documents.

The application works independently of KOMPAS, but its presence at the workplace is necessary. Spending a few minutes checking a document in the application saves you the hassle of fixing errors at the production stage.
